I am based in Devon and can also offer in-person tutoring on a limited basis
I have all the relevant textbooks and access to topic worksheets for all levels. I typically begin with a free session that covers a suitable end of year paper. Then, I move to topic specific work with your goals in mind.
I try to give the student lots of oppurtunity to control the material covered and how it is covered as this has proven effective in increasing engagement.
Whilst I was in 6th form I ran the junior school maths club as part of my DofE volunteering. This gave me a year's experience of teaching a whole class before I left school. Although individual tutoring is very different, many of the same principles apply and I now have a further year's experience in tutoring.
I have tutored students who were falling behind with their maths as well as others looking for extension work. I also have experience tutoring neurodiverse children. I am fully DBS checked.
